Softball Field Rental
Parks and Recreation Department activities have first priority. Other rentals are based on field availability and activity approval by the Parks and Recreation Director.
Times:
Tournament Rentals must fall within the following: Fridays – 5:00 p.m. – Midnight
Saturdays & Sundays – 9:00 a.m. -Midnight (No games may start after 11:00 p.m.)
Lights must be off by Midnight
Rental Fees:
- Without Lights – $100.00 (Rates are per field, per day).
- With Lights – $125.00 (Rates are per field, per day).
- Clean-up/Damage Deposit – $50.00 (refundable).
- 50% of the rental fee is due at the time of the reservation.
- The balance, clean-up/damage deposit, and tournament bracket/schedule is due 2 weeks prior to the date of the reservation.
- Cancellations made 15 business days or more prior to the event will receive a full refund.
- Cancellations made less than 15 business days before the event will not be refunded.
- In the event the Tournament is canceled by Parks and Recreation staff due to inclement weather (prior to the start of games), the renter will receive a full refund. If games have been played, a refund will be pro-rated.
- The renting group is responsible for any damages done to the field or related facilities and will be billed at the current rate for any repairs over and above the money from the forfeited damage deposit.
Parks and Recreation will furnish the following:
- Keys to the press box, lights, and bathrooms (Keys must be returned within 2 business days of the completion of the game or tournament, or the renter will be billed $50 for key replacement). Keys must be picked up by 1:00 p.m. on the Friday prior to the Game/tournament.
- Bases Lining and dragging of the field once prior to the start of the game each day
- All trash generated by your games or tournament must be bagged daily and placed in or next to the trash receptacles provided. This includes areas in and around fields, dugouts, restrooms and other areas utilized during your game/tournament
Inclement Weather:
- In order to prevent damage to the field, in the event of bad weather, Parks and Recreation Staff has the final authority to postpone or cancel the tournament.
- Umpires must be directed by tournament officials to use their best judgment regarding the safety of the players.
- In the event of uncooperative weather at softball fields, water is NOT to be pushed into the grass, nor is any foreign substance to be used to accelerate drying.
- Because injuries do occur during athletic events, it is highly recommended that the tournament carry blanket medical coverage or that all participants carry individual medical insurance.
- It is the responsibility of the tournament sponsor/director to ensure that all players are sufficiently trained and conditioned to participate and that all equipment is in good condition and is proper and official for that particular sport and association.
- Parks and Recreation reserves the right to deny use of the field due to other Parks and Recreation programming, prior abuse of the field by group applying to rent the field, and/or weather and safety related concerns.
Renter may sell concessions ONLY through written permission from the Parks and Recreation Director
Ball Field Rental Rules
- No alcoholic beverages or unlawful substances are allowed.
- No glass containers
- No smoking is allowed in the dugouts, stands, complex platform or field.
- No profanity or abusive language shall be used in the park.
- No vehicles are allowed in the complex. All vehicles are to be parked in the Berea Community School parking lot. All others WILL BE TOWED at owners expense
- No fighting or physical abuse of spectators or participants is allowed.
- No firearms of any kind are allowed on park grounds.
- All participants and spectators must remain behind the fence.
- Bathrooms are to be checked regularly for problems and security.
- No profanity or verbal abuse of umpires or park personnel will be tolerated.
- No motorized vehicles are allowed on fields. This includes mowers, ATV’s, golf carts, trucks etc.

Soccer Field Rental
Facilities Available for Rental

Time of use will be determined on an individual basis. Renter will use a chart to request the times. Once the request is received, times and dates will be presented to local youth user groups to confirm field availability.
Lights must be off by Midnight

All trash generated by your games or tournament must be bagged daily and placed in or next to the trash receptacles provided. This includes areas in and around fields, bleachers, restrooms and other areas utilized during your game/tournament. Concession Stand: Renting group will be responsible for all of the cleaning and trash removal inside of the building. Restrooms will be the responsibility of the renting group-If park staff clean, group will be charged at overtime hourly rate of Park employee.
