Memorial Park Shelter

City Park Shelter

FEES:

-All shelters include access to charcoal grills, trash receptacles, electricity and restroom facilities. All shelters are handicapped accessible.

-Rental fees include exclusive use of the shelter only. It does not restrict the use of the playground, restrooms, green space or the parking lot.

-Fee must be paid 15 days prior to the date of reservation at the Parks and Recreation Office, located at 8 Pirate Parkway, or out of town patrons may mail payment to 212 Chestnut Street, Berea, KY 40403

FACILITY RENTAL AND USE

SHELTERS

FAMILY, CIVIC, SOCIAL, PROFESSIONAL AND OTHER GROUPS MAY RESERVE SHELTERS  FOR OUTINGS AS FOLLOWS:

1. Groups are required to complete a reservation request form at the Berea Parks Department Administrative Office.
2. No more than one group may reserve the same shelter at any park on the same day.
3. Reservations may be made up to but no more than one year in advance.
4. The Director of Parks and Recreation shall be responsible for making decisions regarding the acceptance of reservation requests and the assigning of park areas in keeping with the following factors: other planned use of facilities, the size of groups, the condition of park grounds and availability of parking space.
5. The use and location of tents and other special apparatuses shall be approved by the Director of the Parks and Recreation Department.
6. Groups using the park facilities shall be responsible for any damage to turf areas or park facilities.
7. All persons utilizing the City Park Shelter may pull up to the shelter for a MAXIMUM of 30 minutes to unload supplies. Patrons will not be allowed to park cars in the shelter area but will need to park in the Berea Community School parking lot. Violators will be towed.
8. Parking in the grass is not permitted.
9. Persons violating the above-mentioned rules will lose their holding privilege and any ability to reserve facilities in the future.
10. The Parks Maintenance Staff cleans shelters and bathrooms on Saturdays and Sundays from 8:00 a.m. – 10:00 a.m.  This allows just enough time to clean all park shelters. In the interest of the park patrons, shelter reservations will not begin until 10:00 a.m.
11. Fees are non-refundable and NO RAINCHECKS will be given.

  • Trash cans must be emptied and trash put into dumpsters
